Goals of Ellensburg High School Football –
- Teach young boys how to become young men
- Teach our student/athletes how to maximize their potential
- Teach our student/athletes how to represent themselves, the school, and the community with pride, integrity, and character
Graduate of Toppenish High School – 1983
Attended Walla Walla Community College From Fall of 1983 to Fall of 1985
Played Football Fall of 1984 and 1985 – Played OLB
Played Tennis Spring of 1984 and 1985 – Played No. 1 singles and doubles
Meet my future wife in the weight room Fall of 1985 – she was playing volleyball
Transferred to Central Washington University in the Winter of 1986
Turned out for Winter and Spring Football (1986) but did not continue with my football career after that
Graduated from CWU in the spring of 1988 with a degree in elementary education
1st Teaching and Coaching job was at Walla Walla Community –
1988-1991
Coached the secondary for two years and Linebackers for two
Head Tennis Coach for two years
Taught activity classes at Walla Walla Community College
While coaching and teaching at WWCC earned my Masters Degree from Eastern Washington University
1st Public Education teaching job was at East Valley of Yakima –
Fall of ’92 to Spr of ‘94
Taught Middle School Physical Education
1st year was JV/Frosh coach – 8th grade basketball – HS Track coach
2nd year defensive coordinator – 8th grade basketball – HS Track coach
2nd Public Education teaching job was at Toppenish High School–
Fall of ’94 to Spr of 97
Taught High School Weight Training
Became Certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist
Head Football Coach – Frosh Basketball Coach
3rd Public Education teaching job Ellensburg High School-
Fall of ’97 - current
Teaching high school physical education here at EHS for 13 years now
Been Head Football Coach at EHS for 13 years
Become certified with Bigger, Faster, and Stronger inc.
Also have coached freshman basketball for 8 years at EHS
Also have coached track for 1 year at EHS
Also was middle school head track coach for 2 years
